Cambridge and Impington Tiny Tigers

Due to COVID-19 restrictions Tiny Tiger Classes are no longer running. If after the pandemic is over we can get enough interest we may be able to restart classes.

Tiny Tigers is a club for boys and girls aged from 5 to 7 years, where they can enjoy fun activities based on Tang Soo Do karate.

Our classes are taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors, CRB checked and qualified in first aid. The club is part of Great Britain Tang Soo Do and the World Tang Soo Do Association.

Learning martial arts skills has many benefits for children: as well as physical fitness and confidence, our classes build mental skills such as concentration and memory, and personal qualities such as respect, perseverance and self control. We follow a structured curriculum with assessment at the end of each term, when children will have the opportunity to progress to the next coloured belt tag.

We already have a thriving Tang Soo Do club at Impington Sports Centre, which will provide the Tiny Tigers with the opportunity to progress further should they wish to do so.

Classes run on Tuesdays at 5.30 - 6.15 at Impington Sports Centre (see map) during term time: there will be six classes each half term.

The Tiny Tigers class normally has a waiting list, so please contact us by email or phone to register an interest or your child to attend, then we can arrange for them to visit a class to see if they want to join. We would then be able to inform you, when they would be able to start attending the classes.

To keep you up to date with the class availability, we keep the number of vacancies and the number on the waiting list regularly updated. Last updated (12/01/2020)

Number on Waiting List = 0. Number of spaces = 2.

Prices and enrolment

When students first join the class the initial fee will be £50, which covers the first six classes and provides them with a Do Bohk (uniform) complete with badges for the World Tang Soo Do Association. The fee for the following half term will then be £24, after that all subsequent half term fees are £24 (6 classes) payable at the first lesson of each half term. Failure to pay your fees on time, may incur an additional charge of £2 per week until paid, depending upon the circumstances.

Once your child has settled in to the class, we will ask that they become members of our Association, membership is £15 per year. This also covers them should they want to attend a competition with a Tiny Tigers division, or decide to move to our main Tang Soo Do class, a form for completion will be provided at the appropriate time.

Ideally students should join at the start of a term or half term. If you would like your child to start during term time, please contact the class instructor, and a proportionate charge will be made for classes if space is available. We maintain a waiting list for places; if you would like your child to attend please register them with the club instructor:
